DJ and producer duo Sparrow & Barbossa bring their innovative Caribbean House sound to CircoLoco Records with their next single, ‘Float’, featuring Brooklyn-based R&B vocalist, BAYLI. The duo invited BAYLI to perform the single for the first time to a packed out Yuma tent at this year’s Coachella – their debut performance at the legendary California festival.
With intimate and weightless vocals provided by Brooklyn’s rising R&B star, BAYLI, the new single spotlights the pair’s syncopated Caribbean House sound, laying the groundwork for their eagerly anticipated EP..
Sparrow & Barbossa is the artist project of DJ and Producer duo Bryan Coletta (Switzerland) and Emiliano Haberli (Uruguay). Since their first collaborations in Madrid, Spain, Sparrow & Barbossa continue to bring together their love of piano, percussion, and tribal rhythms to create a fusion between organic and electronic progressive sounds.
The son of Jazz music legend Francis Coletta, Bryan has an innate ability to both create and curate an original sound. Emiliano is a classically trained percussionist with a long musical history as resident DJ at Space Ibiza. Together, the duo has proven to be one of the most proficient and versatile partnerships in all of dance music. With several Beatport #1s, their songs span across genres, languages, and cultures.
After an extremely active few years, Sparrow & Barbossa have refined their style through live shows and collaborations with an impressive roster of artists that includes Sia, Rampa, Deadmau5, Jamie Jones, PJ Sin Suela, and others.
This year, Sparrow & Barbossa are doubling down on the sound they’ve meticulously honed. Following their huge debut at Coachella, they are set to play Circoloco Ibiza, Shellona in Saint Tropez, III Points in Miami, Tomorrowland in Belgium in October, and other legendary parties around the world.
