Armin van Buuren Takes Over Rotterdam Centraal Before ASOT Festival

Armin van Buuren took over Rotterdam Centraal station during rush hour yesterday, delivering an impromptu performance ahead of the highly anticipated A State of Trance Festival at Rotterdam Ahoy on February 21 and 22. Official content from the event captures the energy of the afternoon, serving as a perfect prelude to the memorable weekend ahead.

This year’s A State of Trance Festival is set to deliver one of the strongest and most diverse programs in the event’s history—and will be streamed live for fans around the globe.

Friday night kicks off the celebration with a 5-hour marquee performance from Armin himself, including Back-to-Back sets with ARTBAT and Ben Helmsley before clashing with techno titan Maddix for a world exclusive Face-to-Face duel.

Saturday continues to make history as Armin links up with techno legend Adam Beyer for yet another world first. This is only the polish on an otherwise rich Saturday lineup, featuring performances by AVIRA, SUPERSTRINGS, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and many more.

In addition to the evening festivities, Saturday’s day program offers fans a series of interactive sessions and behind-the-scenes experiences designed to celebrate the culture and production of trance music.

Taking place at the Mainport Hotel in Rotterdam, the initiative further deepens the connection between artists and their audience, rounding out a weekend that promises both groundbreaking performances and engaging community activities.

As A State of Trance Festival unfolds live, fans worldwide are invited to join the experience via the official livestream of Area 1 and Area 2 on the ASOT YouTube channel, making this year’s event an uplifting ride for lifelong trance enthusiasts and curious fans of other genres alike.
