What were your initial ideas and goals when you set out to produce the ‘Time Loop EP’?
When we started working on the ‘Time Loop EP’, it began like a regular day of exploring sounds. Some random arpeggio sounds caught our attention and inspired us to blend hypnotic rhythms with atmospheric textures. Our goal was not just to produce tracks for the dancefloor but to create something that’s resonates with listeners through melodic lines.
Did you always plan for the two tracks to form an EP, or did the concept evolve during the production process?
These two tracks were produced separately, without initially planning them as part of an EP. However, we felt they complemented each other perfectly, so we decided to release them together under the ‘Time Loop’ umbrella.
What was the inspiration behind the title, ‘Time Loop’ and how does it tie into the concept of the EP?
The inspiration behind the title ‘Time Loop’ came from the repetitive and hypnotic nature of the tracks, which evoke the feeling of being caught in a cycle. It’s the idea that time can feel like both a restriction and a source of beauty, where repeating loops and patterns merge into something captivating and thoughtful.
Both tracks feature hypnotic arrangements and layered synths. What was your process for creating the energy and atmosphere through the EP?
The process for creating the energy and atmosphere in the EP started mainly with experimenting with arpeggios and layered synth textures. We focused on building hypnotic arrangements by combining repetitive patterns with subtle variations to keep the listener engaged. To create depth, we crafted atmospheric pads and effects like reverb and delay, layering them rhythmically.
The breakdown in ‘Time Loop’ brings in Trance arpeggiators to elevate tension. What inspired this choice, and how did you ensure these elements blended seamlessly with the Progressive House details?
The choice to include Trance arpeggiators in the breakdown of ‘Time Loop’ came naturally as we wanted to create a moment that elevates the emotion and energy of the track. We felt the arpeggiators added a sense of tension and uplift that fit perfectly with the overall vibe.
We always want to put a touch of Trance music in our tracks because Trance was our first love. To make sure these elements blended seamlessly with the Progressive House details, we focused on keeping the flow smooth and organic, allowing the melody and rhythm to complement each other.
‘Running’ adds a refreshing energy to the EP with its African vocal layers and inspiring piano line. How did you come up with the idea to incorporate these unique elements and how did you approach crafting them?
The idea for incorporating African vocal layers and an inspiring piano line in ‘Running’ came from a desire to bring something vibrant and uplifting to the EP. We wanted to contrast the hypnotic atmosphere of the other track by adding a sense of warmth and energy. The vocals were chosen to add a human, organic touch, while the piano line was crafted to complement the melodic rhythm.
Were there any specific tools, synths, or plugins that were particularly crucial in shaping the sound of this EP?
Not really something specific. We relied on Omnisphere and Serum for sounds and the classics effects, which helped us craft the arpeggios and atmospheric textures. Additionally, we used some samples to enhance the transitions and make sure every element blended seamlessly.
What challenges, if any, did you face while creating ‘Time Loop,’ and how did you overcome them during production?
We think the biggest challenge was the mixing and mastering process because we handle everything in house, from the initial ideas and production to the final mix and master. We know it’s often better to send tracks to professional sound engineers, but for now, we choose to do it ourselves as it’s a great way to learn and improve with each production. It’s not always easy, but every project teaches us something new and helps us grow as artists.
How would you say ‘Time Loop’ reflects your growth as artists, and how does it stand apart from your previous releases?
With every track we produce, we feel closer to achieving the sound we’ve wanted to create since we started making music. Our goal is to contribute something meaningful and timeless to the industry, something that can make a positive impact. ‘Time Loop’ reflects this journey of growth, as it captures our evolving style and ambition.
Looking ahead, how does your ‘Time Loop’ EP fit into your plans for 2025, and can fans expect more music soon?
With this EP released on January 24, 2025, on Addictive Sounds Label, we want to see how fans and people in the industry respond, as it will help shape our journey as DJs and Producers moving forward. Everything depends on the Electronic Music listeners… they guide and support us on this journey.
