In a collaborative triumph, Italian DJ & producer GENESI, German producer Wave Wave and American Artist Roland Clark have joined their talents for the new track ‘Phones Down’, released on Tomorrowland Music.
Having worked together for the first time on this cut, the three artists are coming through with an inspiring anthem that speaks directly to the hottest topic in electronic music at the moment, phone usage on the dance-floor.
‘Phones Down‘ combines the iconic vocals of Roland Clark with GENESI and Wave Wave‘s signature sonics driving the melody, to create an inspiring and infectious floor filler that wastes no time in getting down to business.
Here’s what GENESI had to say about the track:
“The topic of excessive smartphone use is becoming increasingly debated and important. Beyond the ‘problem’ of people preferring to film instead of dancing during DJ sets, there is the growing issue of both young and older people mistaking the reality of social media for the real world.
They continuously live in a world that is disconnected from the here and now. The song aims to be a protest message against this trend and highlight the issue, with the help of Roland Clark’s voice.”
Wave Wave added:
“Like the song title already displays it’s about the actually club culture and the phone problematic. The record should be an advise to all the people. Enjoy the moment, capture the feeling, listen to the music and put away your phone! No device can capture this feeling.”
