Eighteen months since his last EP on Drumcode, the brilliant Wehbba returns with an impressive two-tracker ‘Awaken’.
Anything the on-point Brazilian contributes to Drumcode is always top notch. From his 2020 album ‘Straight Lines & Sharp Corners‘ to the cracking ‘Catarse‘ EP from 2018 to last year’s sci-fi themed ‘Premonition‘, the vast collection of quality music the artist has dished up on Adam Beyer‘s label always stands out amongst the crowd.
The producer, who’s a practitioner of Vipassana meditation, takes inspiration from the spiritual realm for his latest production work. ‘Awaken‘ is a hyper euphoric anthem inspired by light that packs plenty of bottom end power.
We can’t wait to hear this played during the upcoming festival season. ‘Revelation‘ is a spitfire trippy techno outing, which utilizes Eastern scales and takes influence from ritualistic ceremonies from Middle Eastern and South Asian cultures. Mark this down as another timeless Wehbba EP on Drumcode.
