Hard techno’s high-priestess Sara Landry unveils her latest electrifying single, “Prisoner,” in collaboration with rising UK DJ and producer, Alex Farell.
Hot on the heels of her latest chart-topper “Heaven” featuring Alt8, “Prisoner” arrives not only as the second single from Landry’s highly-anticipated debut album, but as a collaborative testament to her passion for innovation, exploration and experimentation.

Born from a moment of complete spontaneity, “Prisoner” originated from a text Landry sent to Farell when he touched down in Amsterdam late last year. Within a few short hours – quite literally by the time Farell took to the stage for his Verknipt set that same evening – the dynamic composition was completed, showcasing an irrefutable synergy between the artists’ distinct production styles.

“I am very happy to be releasing again on HEKATE – Sara has been supporting me for a long time now so it’s cool for our collaboration to have its spot on her own label. It was really fun and spontaneous making this one!
I played for Verknipt in December 2023 in Amsterdam and when I landed Sara sent me a text saying to come down to the studio to make a track. We managed to make ‘Prisoner’ before I went to play my set. It was really fun and spontaneous making this one!”
Speaking about the release Sara Landry added:
“Alex is one of my favorite producers right now and a regular on HEKATE, so when it came to deciding which artists I wanted to work with on my upcoming collab album, it was a no brainer to cook something up with him.
‘Prisoner’ is a peak set thumping banger and it has torn the roof off some of the clubs I’ve played at recently. You can really hear both mine and Alex’s production styles in this one. It is the ideal follow up track to ‘Heaven’ to show the vibe of what to expect from the rest of the album.”
