Ibiza’s premier sunset spot Café Mambo is opening its milestone 30th birthday year with a bang, with sets from Grammy-nominated Chicago house legend Felix da Housecat and renowned Dutch tech-house heavyweight Ferreck Dawn ushering in a new decade in style from 6pm on Friday 19th April.
The night will also feature sets from long standing Mambo residents Jason Bye, Andy Baxter and Ryan McDermott — a fitting way to celebrate Mambo’s legacy.
Synonymous with spectacular west coast sunsets and well-known for hosting the legendary, official pre-parties for the Ibiza super clubs every night of the week including Pacha, Hï Ibiza and Amnesia, where their headline acts descend on the bar, terrace restaurant and iconic public promenade, making for legendary, intimate sets.
Embedded in Ibiza lore, global music stars have been soundtracking the Mambo sunset for the past three decades including Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, Sasha, Digweed, Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Swedish House Mafia and Boy George and many more.
Today, Mambo is an Ibizan rite of passage, and rightly considered a modern-day Ibiza icon. With many more magical nights and fresh talent to be announced, Café Mambo is as vital and relevant to the island’s scene as ever.
Highlights from last season included pre-parties with FISHER, The Martinez Brothers and Claptone’s The Masquerade, special shows from Mel C, Robin Schulz and Jax Jones, and Capital Dance’s takeover with guests such as Fatboy Slim, Becky Hill, LF System, Mistajam, and Hannah Laing.
