All eyes turn to Barcelona this summer as the long-running festival and the popular party series at Poble Espanyol return with a stacked line-up of sets, shows and parties running from 13th to 16th June.
For the first time, partygoers can get the most out of the week’s events with a limited number of full week passes and VIP passes available, granting access to Sónar by Day, Sónar by Night, Sónar+D and all of OFFSónar.
Taking place at Fira Montjuïc and Fira Gran Via, Sónar 2024 presents over 100 shows, sets and activities featuring contemporary icons, dance music originators and innovators including, Air, Jessie Ware, Kaytranada, Charlotte de Witte presents ‘Overdrive‘, The Martinez Brothers, Kerri Chandler, TOMMY CASH, Ben Böhmer live, Reinier Zonneveld live and many more. The line up will be completed in the coming weeks.
OFFSónar returns to the idyllic mountainside setting of Poble Espanyol, with parties from Brunch Electronik, FUSE, Keinemusik, Solid Grooves and X by Adriatique. With more TBA.
Since 1994, Sónar has set the blueprint for what an electronic music festival should be, gaining an international reputation thanks to its innovative programming, quality production and a unique hedonistic atmosphere. From the very beginning, the official programming was supplemented by record labels wanting to showcase their other artists, and keep the party going, with independent shows and nights across the city.
Since 2018, OFFSónar has kept the spirit of those early parties alive, with label-focused events across the spectacular spaces and venues of the historic Poble Espanyol in Montjuic, a stones’ throw from the Sónar by Day venue. Sónar‘s sister event hosts up to 35000 dancers, high-profile DJs, local talent and the world’s most exciting party experiences during four days and across three stages, every year.
This year on Thursday 13th June, Barcelona’s own Brunch Electronik will host their vibrant blend of electronic music and unforgettable experience on two stages, Monasterio and Carpa & Picnic. The loved event series launches their second decade of summer parties after celebrating 10 years in 2023. Simultaneously, the Spanish (mainland) premiere of “X” by Adriatique will take place on the mighty Plaza Mayor.
Since its debut in December 2022, Adriatique have brought their concert experience to iconic venues around the world such as New York’s Brooklyn Mirage, London’s Labyrinth, Ibiza’s Pacha, and Gashouder in Amsterdam. Summer 2024 finally sees the Swiss duo bring their concert experience to Barcelona.
On Friday 16th June the highly anticipated all stages takeover by Solid Grooves promises their signature heavy duty sound from a tight knit family of core artists accompanied by emerging and developing artists. Solid Grooves is a world-renowned house and techno brand led by Michael Bibi and PAWSA.
On Saturday the 15th, long-time OFFSónar collaborators Keinemusik take over Plaza Mayor. Launched in 2009, the label and crew of 5 is a crowd favorite everywhere and especially in Barcelona – this event sold out minutes after it was announced. At the same time FUSE will set the mood next door at Monasterio and Carpa & Picnic.
FUSE evolved from a weekly Sunday party in East London to one of the most popular party hosts and record labels worldwide. With regular parties across the UK & Europe, FUSE brings forward-thinking audiovisual productions to the dancefloor and is known for line-ups stacked with the scene’s leading selectors.
Having celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, Sónar characteristically looks forward in 2024, with a stacked line up featuring contemporary icons, dance music originators and innovators..
