Italian-brother duo Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli AKA Mathame have joined forces with Grammy-award winning producer Tiësto to release a new single collaboration, ‘Feel Your Ghost.’
Pairing ethereal vocals with a reverberating beat and thumping bassline, ‘Feel Your Ghost‘ blends Mathame‘s futuristic sonic vision with Tiësto‘s sleek signature sound, evoking a sense of 90’s rave nostalgia. The collaboration serves as a full circle moment for Mathame, who have been long time fans of Tiësto.
In their own words on the project Mathame said:
“The collaboration is the result of a couple of years of exchanging ideas about music and the past, present and future of electronic dance. It was at WMC Miami that the spark was lit when we got to hear Tiësto, who immediately fell in love with the idea of collaborating. In two days he completed the track and debuted it at Ultra, it was an incredible moment.”
Since Tiësto first debuted the record live during his monumental Ultra Music Festival performance, Mathame has garnered massive fan support playing the track at all their recent shows, including both weekends of their Coachella debut performance.
A pillar of electronic music, Tiijs Verwest, AKA Tiësto has spent the last two decades amassing critical acclaim, including a Grammy win and multiple nominations and an upcoming Ushuaia Ibiza residency. Tiësto‘s recently released album ‘Drive‘ showcases collaborations with Karol G, Ava Max, Charli XCX, and Tate McRae amassing over 4.4 billion streams.
Continuing to pioneer the cinematic techno genre and take their listeners on a roundabout sonic journey, ‘Feel Your Ghost‘ joins Mathame‘s extensive repertoire of expressive soundscapes, as they continue to pioneer the cinematic techno genre and take their listeners on a roundabout sonic journey. With recent releases including the pulsating club track ‘To Hope,’ intimately emotional ‘Come For You,’ and voluminously dark ‘So What‘, Mathame continue to demonstrate the multifaceted quality of their sound.
After the Mathame project was born on the desolate slopes of Sicily’s Mt. Etna volcano, the brothers’ gained massive global recognition with debut EP releases on Afterlife records, including ‘Nothing Around Us,’ followed by ‘Skywalking‘ and ‘For Every Forever.’
In addition to heavily drawing influence from science-fiction work, the duo also channel their backgrounds as classical performers, film directors, electronic musicians and touring DJs. Playing nearly 150 shows a year, recent highlights have included Coachella and Ultra Miami Resistance stage debuts, with upcoming performances at Brunch Electronik Madrid, Awakenings, Sonus, and more.
