The world’s longest running electronic music festival Mysteryland is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and announces a spectacular line-up.
In the last weekend of August, the renowned festival will welcome the greatest artists from house, techno, trance, tech-house, hard-techno, hardstyle, hardcore, latin, hiphop, dancehall, R&B, and afro scene. With artists such as Hardwell, Joris Voorn, James Hype, Cynthia Spiering, Timmy Trumpet, Adam Beyer, Mau P, Alesso, Headhunterz, Warface, and Oliver Heroes, on the line-up, this year’s edition of Mysteryland promises to be a magical conclusion to the 2023 summer festival season.
For thirty years, Mysteryland has been so much more than just a collection of big artists and impressive stages. The festival allows visitors to lose themselves in a world filled with happy accidents, where art enriched paths reveal parallel worlds. Visitors will find themselves in unexpected places, before realizing they’re at a party, in a party, in a party.
From roller skating at the top of the famous Mysteryland pyramid to visiting the psychedelic farm, Mysteryland is full of surreal concepts and hidden places to discover. The 30th anniversary will see the festival return with its signature spectacular show moments alongside performances from world’s biggest artists.
On Saturday, the mainstage will be opened with a special DJ set by Mysteryland co-founder Sander Groet. Later that day, mainstage debuts from British DJ James Hype and Italian trio MEDUZA will take the stage. To celebrate their anniversary in true Mysteryland style, the festival will go one step further, adding two spectacular closing shows to the program with Australian Timmy Trumpet on Saturday and Dutch icon Hardwell on Sunday.
The festival site offers much more to experience, as Adam Beyer will bring his Drumcode imprint to Mysteryland, inviting stage guests such as Joris Voorn and HI-LO, Nachtcollege debuts with their very own hard-techno stage, featuring sets from DIØN, Køzløv, and Cynthia Spiering, and the Trance Energy stage presents takeovers from Paul van Dyk, Ben Nicky, and Laura van Dam. Those looking for sturdier techno can indulge themselves at the Adonis stage, where among others a special back-to-back set from the likes of DJ Bone & Dave Angel awaits.
Varying from mesmerizing outdoor areas to large indoor areas, as well as many hidden stages, Mysteryland is the perfect place for visitors to immerse themselves in parallel universes with a wide variety of musical styles and genres. Hardstyle enthusiasts will find themselves running from the inexhaustible Q-dance stage, featuring acts such as Warface and Vertile, to the iconic Thunderdome stage, where Cryogenic and hardcode-giant Drokz will perform special sets to celebrate Mysteryland‘s anniversary.
Vunzige Deuntjes makes a return to Mysteryland, offering visitors a place to enjoy sounds from Dutch artists like Frenna, Broederliefde, and Tabitha. Freddy Moreira also returns to the site with his energetic Moreira’s Mansion, inviting Natte Visstick, Poke, and more, while Dusst x Steww bring the Amapiano sound to Mysteryland for the first time ever on the Saturday.
With an international food court, chill areas, swimming pool, wellness, sports programs, and so much more, Mysteryland‘s campsite is fully equipped with facilities for weekenders. There are numerous options for overnight accommodations, from luxurious glamping with breakfast to pre-set up tents, camper spots, and the possibility to pitch your own tent with a group of friends on the special friend fields.
As if that isn’t enough, Mysteryland is treating campers to even more parties featuring special programming. Those with a camping ticket can kick off the weekend on Friday with performances from Joel Corry, Marter Høger, and others. The Saturday will feature an afterparty on the festival grounds exclusively for camping guests, presenting a bigger-than-ever line up with GORDO, Mau P, Horse Meat Disco, and more to continue the party deep into the night.
In addition to being a leader within both the music field and creation for the past 30 years, Mysteryland is also proving to be an industry leader when it comes to sustainability. Following the construction of a new power grid on the Haarlemmermeer festival grounds, Mysteryland will be powered by locally generated green energy this year, a unique feat in the festival landscape.
Mysteryland completely sold out last year, and this year’s edition looks to be heading in the same direction. Those who don’t want to miss the 30th anniversary edition can get their day, weekend, and camping tickets for Mysteryland 2023 via www.mysteryland.nl.
