Following the cancellation of the 2020 edition, Defected is set to return with the biggest Croatia festival yet this August, as further additions are made to the already colossal line-up. Making up for lost time, the award-winning festival will return to The Garden, Tisno from Thursday 5th – Tuesday 10th August 2021 for six days of sun-drenched house on the Adriatic coast.
A further ten artists, including Carl Craig, Floorplan, Louie Vega, Jamie 3:26 and Jaden Thompson, join 90+ DJs and live acts heading to Tisno this summer for the event, with headliners including Armand Van Helden, Honey Dijon, Jayda G, Moodymann and Purple Disco Machine.
Thanks to consistently delivering on overall festival experience and supreme talent, with a line-up that brings together house music greats alongside current favourites, Defected Croatia has established a global fan base, drawing discerning house heads from all parts of the world to reunite on the dancefloor.
A year without events in 2020 has allowed The Garden, Tisno to fine-tune the festival site, making improvements like amped up lighting and sound production, cashless bars, and new-and-improved stages. The jewel in the crown of this breath-taking site, the Beach Stage, with its unobstructed views of the Adriatic, has been fully renovated and expanded, offering more beach space for daytime lounging and a larger, tiered dance floor for dancing into the night under the stars.
Defected Croatia‘s idyllic setting is what keeps fans returning year on year, with The Garden setting the scene for the festival perfectly since 2016. The enhanced Beach Stage and other upgrades to the site have been designed to enrich the festival experience by fully immersing festival goers in the natural beauty of The Garden’s Adriatic setting. Every day festival-goers can choose from beach parties, boat parties, Main Stage and Olive Grove sets, a wellbeing programme of meditation and yoga sessions and after-parties at the legendary Barbarella’s nightclub.
With live events on pause for the last twelve months, Defected makes its return to the live scene this summer after dominating in the virtual world with their award-winning Defected Virtual Festival and We Dance As One live stream series. Drawing in over 60 million views and raising $1.2 million dollars for the WHO’s COVID-19 response fund and £89,930 for Mind, among other charitable donations, the label and clubbing phenomenon is now is ready to return to what it does best. With their first event back, two days at colossal London venue The Drumsheds, selling out in record time, the appetite for Defected’s unique brand of ‘house parties’ shows no signs of slowing down.
As with all planned events this summer, Defected Croatia 2021 will go ahead in accordance with UK, Croatia and EU COVID-19 regulations, and is therefore subject to change. Defected remains transparent with ticket holders and will provide regular updates regarding travel and restrictions.
