A project which not only sets the tone for the year ahead, but also one packed full of new and exclusive cuts from the #ToolroomFamily, ‘This Is Toolroom’ remains as a yearly highlight and a must-have offering for house music lovers across the globe.
Building on what was a significant twelve months for the label, welcoming a series of huge tracks to their iconic back-catalogue, late-January now welcomes the arrival of eleven fresh productions from some of the biggest names in the game, signalling a huge statement of intent from one of the scenes most loved imprints.
Leading the charge is head honcho Mark Knight who delivers a trio of scintillating collaborations, kicking things off alongside surging talent Siege, whilst also combining with rising duo Frederick & Kusse and fellow UK pairing Tuff London in equally impressive fashion.
Further huge partnerships follow in the form of Scottish house regulars Illyus & Barrientos as they join forces with Radio 1 tastemaker and Nothing Else Matters boss Danny Howard on ‘Feel Ma Boogie’, whilst a transatlantic combination of Raumakustik, Gene Farris and DJ Rae deliver ‘Breathe In’.
Add in huge tracks from Toolroom favourite Maxinne, Dutch talent Rene Amesz, Sydney-based DJ, live act and producer Alex Preston and Amsterdam’s inimitable Mason, plus newest Toolroom signing and emerging Liverpool-based talent Sophia Essel, it’s clear to see that Toolroom are kicking off the year in style, delivering yet another essential collection of feel-good, lively and accomplished house productions.
