DGTL Amsterdam reveals the massive final wave of artists for its 7th edition in the city over Easter Weekend 2019 (April 19-21). Joining the likes of already-announced acts like Ben Klock, Carista, Dixon, Disclosure [dj], and Laurent Garnier, these new names complete the staggering line-up for DGTL Amsterdam 2019. Headliners added are crowd favorites Amelie Lens, Bicep [dj], DMX Krew [live], Henrik Schwarz [live], Honey Dijon, Maceo Plex, Marcel Dettmann and many more. And what’s more, DGTL will give fans the chance to see some of these huge names play unusual sets in unique settings. The event organization from Amsterdam announces that there will be a special stage dedicated to live-sets this year.
Traditionally the festival will be opened on Friday night in the characteristic Scheepsbouwloods, which is a perfect fit for a DGTL show. In this industrial warehouse, DJ Koze, Mano Le Tough and Tunnelvisions & Applescal will treat the audience on their powerful performances, gearing up the crowd for the two days to come.
The Black Madonna returns after a triumphant set at the recent DGTL Madrid, as does fast-rising star HAAi, who gave a stunning performance at the last DGTL Amsterdam and will release on DGTL Records, DGTL‘s very own record label, soon. Bicep serve up one of their incredible DJ sets following an intense year of touring their live show, while Detroit legend Moodymann is set to do his inimitable eclectic thing. Motor City Drum Ensemble brings disco and raw house to the festival. Maceo Plex’s sound was made for epic shows like DGTL, with his melodic techno workouts being a perfect fit. Berghain veteran Marcel Dettmann joins for a performance in a setting that promises to be a little out of the ordinary. Patrick Topping and Green Velvet‘s back-to-back set is another mouthwatering addition.
Honey Dijon continues her ascent into the biggest stages in the scene with her fierce house sound, returning after playing a packed-out set at DGTL Amsterdam 2018. Amelie Lens is on board to provide her captivating techno sound. Brazilian talent Vermelho steps up again after playing a magical set at DGTL São Paulo. There’s unmissable Dutch talent in the form of local hero William Djoko, newcomer upsammy and JP Enfant who is another DGTL Records signing. More local tunes come in the form of the first ever DJ set of Younger Rebinds, the groovy alias of Benny Rodrigues, stranger & Deniro who are playing back-to-back for the first time, the Boiler Room-approved Identified Patient and Matthew Dekay. Superb live sets come from electro legends DMX Krew, forward-thinking duo Otzeki and crowd-favorite Henrik Schwarz.
New to the program this year at DGTL festival is that buses will depart from Lyon, Paris, Brussels and Antwerp to bring visitors to the event. The initiative is part of DGTL’s sustainability program, aiming to stimulate shared traveling to reduce levels of harmful car exhaust emissions. More info can be found here.
