To no surprise, Insomniac events have pulled off another massive festival, and they made it look easy. Over two massive nights, and more than 110,000 electronic enthusiasts, Pasquale Rotela really held up his side of the bargain as he led us all down the rabbit hole once again.
Over the weekend, Insomniac’s Beyond Wonderland festival took place at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, California. This year marked the 9th edition of the fan favorite spring festival and it brought everything that we could have ever imagined.
This year really had it’s own twists. Attendees were blessed with 4 massive stages, a new looking glass lounge, and an exclusive Insomniac Passport area that was strictly invite only. Each night saw different big time brands host their very own stages. Those stages included Dreamstate, Basscon, and for the first time ever, Deadmau5′ Mau5trap.
There were a lot of first’s at this years Beyond. Deadmau5 and REZZ both shined in their first ever Beyond Wonderland as they destroyed the Queens Domain. Testpilot debuted in Cheshire Woods which was truly a treat for tech fans, and if you were really lucky, you caught Kaskade‘s surprise set at the Beyond Wench Art Car. With so much going on, no matter where you turned, there was something new and exciting taking place.
Although general admission was still amazing as always, VIP really was above and beyond. You’re truly treated like royalty and have access to so so much. First off, the private viewing areas take your experience over the top, it’s the perfect way to get up close and personal with some of your favorite artists!
Killer activities included a giant chess set, janga, kandi making stations, a massive dollhouse for photos and life size playing cards. Not to mention the private luxury bathrooms, private bars and even a few food trucks that served some killer tots.
The entire weekend was an unforgettable experience and we’re already looking forward to next years party! The lineup was the cherry on the top, Insomniac really went all out with the talent they brought it.
Armin van Buuren, ZHU, Feed Me, Rusko and Don Diablo all showed up to party. With so many talented artist on the lineup, you were guaranteed a good time no matter where you found yourself in the psychedelic wonderland. Now onto Electric Daisy Carnival, see you all next year!
