Awakenings Festival, the largest outdoor techno festival in the world, has just announced a jaw-dropping line-up for 2019. On June 29th and June 30th, the iconic festival will sweep through the grounds of Spaarnwoude, Amsterdam once again for two full days of techno.
Over 100 artists will perform in eight different areas during the huge weekender, presenting the full range of the techno spectrum. Awakenings Festival has gone above and beyond to live up to their reputation of groundbreaking productions and stage design, particularly in the open air areas. Similarly to last years’ sell-out crowd, Awakenings Festival will welcome another 80.000 visitors.
The festival will showcase top talent from across the world, as thousands come to experience the greatest techno has to offer. The huge weekender will have another all-star line-up, with artists such as Sven Väth on the mainstage on the first night, and Adam Beyer closing the mainstage on the second.
Last year Charlotte de Witte made her debut at Awakenings Festival; she will return on both days, as well as Amelie Lens, Nina Kraviz, and Richie Hawtin among others.
Awakenings will always offer a platform to the new generation of upcoming artist like Ion Ludwig, Enzo Siragusa, Oracy, FJAAK, Colin Benders and Claire Morgan.
Other widely-respected names on the line-up included Ben Klock, Boris Brejcha, Dax J, Dixon, Helena Hauff, Jeff Mills, Joris Voorn, Joseph Capriati, Maceo Plex, Kölsch, Pan-Pot, Ricardo Villalobos, Sam Paganini and Tale Of Us.
Awakenings prides itself in their partnerships with leading global acts and this year’s Sunday at Awakenings Festival will see a variety of those. Maceo Plex will host a Mosaic area at the festival for the second time, and Joris Voorn will invite techno’s top of the crop to takeover Area B, with the return of ‘Joris Voorn & Friends‘.
Today, Joris Voorn played a unique role in unveiling the full 2019 line-up, as revelers tuned into his live set were treated to a special surprise as he began dropping artist names.
Before the summer event, there is a chance to get in the mood during the annual Awakenings Easter edition at the Gashouder, Amsterdam. In two nights and one day, the Easter edition will deliver over 40 hours of techno.
