Super-talented Ivan Masa unleashes his new weapon “Vocoder” EP

ATLANT follows a landmark year with a fresh innovative approach to stimulate the mind and senses for 2019. Please believe us when we say big plans are ahead, with even bigger music coming for you over the next 12 months.

ATL023 takes us to the southern Italian province of Caserta for further evidence of a thriving Campania music scene as they unleash the sound of Ivan Masa. This super-talented DJ and producer lands on ATLANT after just featuring on one of our favourite labels, Monaberry.

Born in Caserta Ivan Masa began his relationship with music at an early age, inheriting a strong passion from his parents. Ivan began experimenting and producing in June 2007, and has gone on to feature on labels like Suara and EIN2.

Lead cut ‘Vocoder’ is bold in experimentation with it’s whirring electronic lines juxtaposed against piano chords, as a dystopian robotic voice enters. The nagging groove throughout really gets under your skin and draws you in without mercy.

Powered by deep bass pulses ‘Back To School’ takes proceedings firmly onto the dance-floor. With sumptuous and addictive synth lines, crisp punchy beats and killer breakdowns this track is made for a smoke filled room late into the night.

By contrast ‘Guitar Rock’ showcases the compositional side of Ivan’s sound across a journey of floating synth lines, ringing melodies and subtle percussive crashes.

‘Dario’s Trip’ closes the EP with Autobahn inspired electronics and pads, pitched against a driving melody that will last long in the memory after the final beats ride out.

With so much quality music to bring you now and throughout 2019 these are truly exciting times for ATLANT. We hope you feel the buzz too.
