There’s a pretty long list of artists who have paid tribute to the legendary EDM DJ and producer, Avicii during a performance. American-Moroccan hip-hop artist, ‘French Montana’, is the latest to join the list.
During his set at Landstreff Stravanger Music Festival in Norway, the rapper decided to pay his tributes and play, “Wake Me Up” and the crowd lost it. Some will call it a coincidence, but as Avicii’s music played through the speakers the clouds began to open up and things just felt different.
The crowd was jumping to every beat, singing every line. The song just seems to have a whole different meaning after the artists sudden death. French Montana would later post, “You was shining through these dark clouds on us, what a powerful morning.”
It’s hard watching this video without feeling some sort of sadness. The feelings Tim Bergling expressed through his music speaks more clear than ever. Props to French for shining light on a terrible situation, RIP.
