Shot and produced by legendary film-maker Charly Friedrichs and his Final Kid team, the official ten-minute ULTRA Europe 2017 aftermovie showcases the incredible ‘Destination ULTRA’ experience, which saw over 120,000 attendees from 149 countries enjoy a weeklong array of world-class events in Croatia in July 17.
This particular aftermovie focuses on the main 3-day ULTRA Europe 2017 festival held at Poljud Stadium in Split, Croatia, which attracted over 100,000 festival-goers from all around the world. The aftermovie clearly demonstrates the beautiful scenery surrounding the stadium, with historic architecture, the lush blue Adriatic Sea and mountainous landscapes providing the backdrop in one of Final Kid’s most visually stunning productions to date.
A warm summer glow permeates the entire first half of the film, before night falls and signals the entry of the headline acts. The night sky is steadily doused in pyrotechnics and fireworks, lighting up the faces and flags of the diverse and jubilant crowd.
Capturing a wide array of talents across four distinct stages, from Techno tastemakers such as Adam Beyer, Carl Cox and Joseph Capriati to Main Stage supertars including David Guetta, Hardwell, Martin Garrix and DJ Snake, the 4k production also showcases footage of rare back-to-back sets from Dubfire & Nicole Moudaber, Nic Fanciulli & Eats Everything, and Tuskegee label partners Seth Troxler & The Martinez Brothers, with RESISTANCE™ heavily represented throughout.
As the week continued, the additional ‘Destination ULTRA’ events: the stunning Brač Regatta, ULTRA Beach Hvar and RESISTANCE Vis all caught the imagination of paradise seekers worldwide.
