The Road to Ultra: Hong Kong 2017 festival got some bad news over the weekend with one person dead and 3 other people in critical condition reported at the festival.
27 yr-old Chow Wai-ho had collapsed during the festival and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
It’s been determined that 3 other festival-goers (a woman, 21, and two men, 22 and 29 years old) were admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei tested positive for controlled drugs. Whether the said substances were party or prescribed drugs has yet to be released. The woman is understood to have an underlying heart problem.
Investigations showed they had not carried illegal drugs, according to police.
100 security officials were present during The Road to Ultra: Hong Kong event and the attendees underwent security checks. There were three first aid stations at the park.
