One of the world’s biggest electronic dance music festivals Ultra Music Festival is coming to Australia !
ULTRA Worldwide has confirmed the Sidney Myer Bowl as the location for its first event Down Under, when it arrives in Melbourne on February 24, 2018 with Road to ULTRA Australia.
Just weeks before Ultra Music Festival’s 20th anniversary in Bayfront Park, Miami, Road To ULTRA Australia will follow in the footsteps of ABBA, Bob Dylan, Daft Punk and Sir Paul McCartney all of whom performed at this iconic venue, as it prepares to host a show to remember for Australian fans.
Expecting 10,000 festival-goers the Sidney Myer Music Bowl was handpicked for its central location by the Yarra River and stunning views of the Melbourne Skyline. The Road To ULTRA Main Stage will be positioned underneath the Bowl’s canopy, with organisers set to build one of their most creative stage designs yet.
Registration for tickets will open on July 30. Only those that register will gain the opportunity to purchase tickets when sales commence.
Road to ULTRA events are single-stage events with the same focus as the ULTRA Worldwide festivals. Each event showcases cutting-edge stage production including world-class visuals, lighting, kryogenics and pyrotechnics. Stage designs are developed by the ULTRA Music Festival creative team and adapted to accommodate the needs of both indoor and outdoor venues.
With the lineup for Road to ULTRA Australia set to be released over the coming months, fans can also look forward to 2019, where Ultra will run two full-scale, multi-stage festivals in both Sydney and Melbourne.
