The festival that used to be known as Rave on the Rocks has finally graduated from its home base at Red Rocks and moved on to a larger venue. To celebrate Global Dance Festival’s fifteenth anniversary, the festival has been moved to the Sports Authority Field at Mile High.
The move to a larger venue provided an opportunity to reimagine and redesign the Global Dance Festival experience. As a result, the festival now boasts four new themed stages: Global Summit, Northern Lights, Tundra, and The Amazon: Silent Disco.
In addition to the four new stages, there will be artist-submitted art installations set up at the festival to engage festival goers in between sets. For those who want to take a break from dancing for a while, there will be an “Arcave” set up with classic arcade games such as Pac-man, Galaga, Tron, and Asteroids.
If arcade games don’t appeal to some people, there is also the addition of Food Truck Lane, where festival goers will have a nice selection of various foods to replenish their energy with. For those seeking thrills and screams, several exciting carnival rides will also be spread out throughout the festival grounds.
All in all, this year seems to be quite the massive ramp-up for Global Dance Festival Colorado, and it is exciting to see what the new festival experience will be like this year. Watch the trailer below, then click here for ticket information.
