A 34-year-old man died at the Las Vegas-area venue of the Electric Daisy Carnival 2017 over the weekend.
The coroner has confirmed that a man, 34-year-old Michael Morse, passed away at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway after night one of the Electric Daisy Carnival on June 17.
His cause and manner of death have not been determined, and Morse’s hometown was not immediately clear. However, an email from Michael Morse’s sister-in-law suggests that his passing was because of the heat. She claims that he went into convulsions and died at 3:25 a.m. with a temperature of 109.6 degrees.
Authorities said, there were over 1000 medical calls during the three-night electronic dance music festival outside Las Vegas. A total of 342 medical calls were handled on the third day of the giant music festival and 4 people were taken to local hospitals. There were 443 medical calls on day one and 305 medical calls on day two.
Metro Police say they made 95 felony arrests over the whole weekend, most for offenses involving drugs.
