Scottish DJ and producer, Calvin Harris has announced his new album and, quite frankly, the guest list is ridiculous.
Calvin Harris has announced his new studio album titled Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 is out June 30. Back in February, he tweeted that he’d “worked with the greatest artists of our generation !!!” on the LP.
I worked with the greatest artists of our generation !!! I’m in the mixing stage now. I listen back and can’t believe what we created !!!!!
— Calvin Harris (@CalvinHarris) February 15, 2017
Here’s who he was talking about: The album features Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Kehlani, Future, Pharrell, Katy Perry, Big Sean, John Legend, Khalid, Migos, Schoolboy Q, Ariana Grande, Young Thug, D.R.A.M., Nicki Minaj, Lil Yachty, Jessie Reyez, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Snoop Dogg.
But the Canadian progressive house DJ and producer, Deadmau5 is not impressed at all, saying that he f*cking hate watching what he love to do get raped by popular culture. He took the opportunity to share his opinion on Twitter.
anyone ever remember when calvin harris was just… calvin harris? who the fuck are all these other people? like… why?

@deadmau5 waaaaaa you’re just mad because he’s making entertaining music while you’re stuck in 2012
— la f(lame) (@zackmeadeXX) May 10, 2017
@zackmeadeXX music is subjective. which makes what entertains me, also subjective. your point is invalid as fuck, which makes you stupid.
— dead mow cinco (@deadmau5) May 10, 2017
@deadmau5 @zackmeadeXX Does this argument also make your point of Calvin Harris invalid? Because music is subjective…
— Escobear (@escobearmusic) May 10, 2017
@escobearmusic @zackmeadeXX No, because that is “product”.
— dead mow cinco (@deadmau5) May 10, 2017
@TheBinaryLion @CalvinHarris I don’t need handouts nor do I feel the need to cling onto people with commercial success to make me feel like I’m better at what I do.
— dead mow cinco (@deadmau5) May 10, 2017
nothing new here. just your typical sellout rant about people who obviously know how to pander shit for the sake of capitalism. moving on.
