The mysterious masked DJ Marshmello, makes his debut on Skrillex’s OWSLA label with a powerful new track featuring vocals from Los Angeles pop musician Wrabel.
Marshmello has been gushing with excitement about the track on Twitter for some time now, saying that “Ritual” is his favorite song he has ever made.
I can’t wait until Ritual w/ @wrabel comes out! Honestly my favorite song I’ve ever made. @OWSLA @Skrillex pic.twitter.com/hYLdhpaBll

This track is definitely more of a pop-oriented affair, featuring bright melodies, booming bass rhythms, and a high-flying vocal from Wrabel. The official video features appearances from Skrillex, Slushii, Valentino Khan and other OWSLA members, as well as the inclusion of a fake Deadmau5.
This isn’t the first time he trolled Deadmau5 in one of his music videos, so Joel has already responded to the video with less than flattering comments:
difference is, I’ve never felt i should parody a bucket in my video to cover up whatever insecurity I have with sub-par trap production.

You’d figure someone “on that level” as it were, would be less reliant on someone else for the highlight reel. Guess not.

@deadmau5 the truth is Marshmello is more relevant than you today.

@jacobamuz relevant to what. The custodial arts? Finish the sentence, you fuckin moron.

Last month the OWSLA label boss, said in an interview that Deadmau5 was “acting like a fucking bully” when he annoyingly revelaed who Marshmello really is in a Twitter outburst.
Regardless of the whole drama, “Ritual” is a great track and definitely worth checking out.
